Report: Homelessness increases in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY – A new report by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) says homelessness has increased in Oklahoma. According to the latest national estimate, while overall homelessness increased 2.2 percent, HUD’s 2017 report found that homelessness among families increased 23.9 percent in the state since 2016. 349 veterans were counted homeless as well, which represents a 2.5 percent decrease since over 2016 with an overall decrease of 24.6 percent since 2010.
